Station Masters Autumn Outing / Annual Good Causes Gig 

This year’s Autumn Outing takes place over the Burnside Course on Sunday 27th September, first tee-off time 1.00pm. There is an entry sheet on the noticeboard at HQ so please get your names down asap to allow us to fix make the draw. Cost of entry is £10 per head which includes a lovely post-match meal.

The Annual Good Causes Gig is on Saturday October 3rd in the Station Function Lounge, 8 til late. Local favourites ‘Lucky to be Here’ will provide the entertainment and this year all proceeds are to go to the Carnoustie and District Youth Brass Band. Tickets are only £6 per head and include something nice to eat.

Smith and Reid take Greensomes title

Quiet and retiring Arthur Smith and partner ‘Greentractorman’ Nor Reid became the first competition winners this season when they defeated opponents Alan Clark and Iain Burnett in the final of the Greensomes tournament. Smith and Reid made short work of the hapless duo as they stormed to victory in favourable weather conditions. Smith related details of their victory at HQ after the match, in a ‘shot-by-shot’ account that left fellow members enthralled, if not slightly jaded. Anyway, well done to Arthur and Norman and congratulations on their victory.
