Jessica helps Mizzou Tigers to record win

Jessica wins Johnie Imes Individual Title

Former Club Champion Jessica Meek helped her Mizzou Tigers university team to a 54-hole record, 39-under par in the recent Johnie Imes Invitational at Columbia. Jessica who won the Individual title at 15-under, was joined by team mates Michelle Butler and Clara Young (North Berwick), in establishing the three best individual performances in the Tournament’s history. After the event, Head Coach Stephanie Priesmayer said “We had a huge win for our program last week and I believe we made a big statement today with our performance over the last three rounds of golf. I can’t say enough about how our players carried themselves on the course. We love the body language, and it never hurts when you execute great shots and make putts. Jess had her first career win, and it was a big win“.

Congratulations to Jess (and her mates) from all her fellow members at the Station Masters GC!

Autumn Outing success

Masters Autumn Outing over the Burnside

The Station Masters Autumn Outing took place over the Burnside Course last Sunday. An enthusiastic bunch of 28 members and guests turned-out in brilliant sunshine for the annual event. Captain Campbell’s team of jammie getts narrowly defeated the valiant Vice Captain Simpson’s team. Winner of the prestigious ‘Yellow Jecket’ was the youngish Dave Rutherford, with Martin Connor coming a close 2nd. Arthur Smith had the best scratch score. Nearest the pin was Danie Van Wyck and newcomer Nic Toshner had the longest drive. John Gamack was astounded to win the ‘Geordie Duncanson Most Improved Player’ trophy – so was everyone else!

Thanks to everyone who donated prizes and to the Station Hotel for a lovely meal.
