Club Championships reach final stage

Club Championship and Seniors finals

The 2025 Station Masters GC Championship final and Seniors final both took place in slightly breezy conditions over the Buddon Course on Saturday. Club Championship finalists Mick Turnbull and four times reigning champion Cameron Goodlad, fought a very close match with the lead changing hands throughout. A rare missed putt for Cameron at the 14th followed by a great birdie for Mick at the 16th saw him going 2 up. Mick went on to seal a 2 and 1 win on the 17th. Fantastic golf from both players.

Earlier in the day, Ali Dennis and Dave Stewart had teed-off in the final of the Senior’s Championship. With the match all-square after 9 holes, it looked as if this one would go the distance. Dave had other ideas however and went on to win comfortably 4 and 3.

Pro/Am Texas Scramble

The Station Masters GC first ever Pro/Am Texas Scramble took place last week over the Buddon Course. Expertly organised by Captain Andy Gilbride, the competition comprised 6 teams of 3, each joined for 3 holes by Carnoustie Links pro Dan Morris, who supported the teams as they played and provided great advice to all along the way. The winning team was Dave Meek, Pauline Stewart and Kevin Bonnar. Runners-up were Alex King, Alan Clemence and Keith Chalmers. Nearest the pin was Keith Chalmers and longest drive was Jamie Turnbull.

Many thanks to Dan for all his help.
