Former agriculturalist Norman Reid (aka Greentractorman or Farmer Giles) blew away all opposition to claim the Kiwi Shield for the first time at the Station Masters GC annual

away-day outing at Alyth. A rather dreich start to the day gave way to excellent golfing conditions, sadly not reflected in much of the scoring. The best team on the day comprised Gordon Smart, Captain Neil Holland and Gordon Smart. Peter Phinn won the longest drive challenge and Aaron Smart was nearest the pin. Competitors were treated to a fantastic buffet lunch after the match where Stan Shepherd won the ‘eating as much pudding as possible’ competition, before returning to HQ in Carnoustie for some light refreshment. A great day out, surprisingly well organised by Sec. Coutie.
