Yesterday saw our two remaining Club competition finals take place over the Buddon course. First up in the morning was the Dave McNicoll Handicap Championship final between Club Captain, Andy Gilbride and the on-form Alan Clements. With both competitors playing off 9, it promised to be a exciting, close-fought encounter. In the event however, the youthful(ish) Alan over-powered a rather jaded Andy, running-out the winner by 5 and 3.

In the afternoon, reigning Seniors champion, Peter Gordon, took on last season’s Handicap champion, Dave Stewart, in final of the Seniors Country Cup. The evenly-contested match went all the way with Dave eventually winning on the 18th.

Congratulations to our new Champions, Alan and Dave and many thanks to all our members who took part in the Club Competitions under very difficult conditions this year. Hopefully next year will see us back to the ‘new normal’!
