This year’s Station Masters GC annual Texas Scramble fell victim to incessant rainfall generated by storm ‘Henk’, resulting in the closure of all courses at the Links. The competition however was quickly re-located to the sunny climes of the Monterey Peninsula at Pebble Beach, courtesy of the sims at Carnoustie Performance Centre in Links House. 8 teams enjoyed the dry, warm conditions before heading along to HQ for our usual ‘games’ afternoon of darts and dominoes.
The winning team captain at Pebble Beach 2023 was Pete Coutie (capt) and John Jeans, along with ringers David Morton and Craig Saunders.
Meanwhile at the Station Bar, following a quick bite to eat comprising local delicacy of peh, beans and chips courtesy of the Station Hotel, the darts and dominoes competitions were closely contested with Garry Fraser and Dave Stewart winning the darts (eventually) and the Mortons triumphant in the bones.
A great day out despite the weather.
