Sandy Norrie wins Autumn Outing

The Station Masters GC Autumn Outing was held yesterday over the Burnside in brilliant sunshine. Captain Campbell’s team narrowly defeated Vice Captain Simpson’s team by 3 and a half matches to 2 and a half. Sandy Norrie came out on top with a fantastic nett 64, picking-up the prestigious Yellow Jecket, the Masters Trophy and a voucher for £30. Second with a nett 66 was the popular Alan Clark who won a voucher for £20. Andy Gilbride, Danie Van Wyk and Capt Simpson came joint 3rd with nett 67s. After the match, the competitors retired to the Station Hotel where a lovely meal awaited them, followed by a evening of banter watching the Ryder Cup action with a bunch of noisy visiting golfers from across the pond. Despite the result, a great time was had by all.
