The annual Station Masters Gc versus Mercantile GC over the Burnside course ended with an emphatic 4 matches to 1 win for our ten-man team. After the match, both teams retired to The Rookery, where the Mercantile players provided an excellent meal. Following all the restrictions in place last season, everyone agreed it was great to be back playing friendly, competition golf. Many thanks to the Mercantile for a very enjoyable day.

Hole-in-one for Masters member
Station Masters GC member Keith Chalmers shot his first ever hole-in-one last Wednesday at the 16th on the Championship course. Keith, who described his 3 hybrid tee-shot as ‘lucky’, was playing with George Strathdee, Graham Elrick, and Mike Reasbeck. Perhaps the fact that Keith didn’t have to ‘stand his hand’ after the match as his playing companions all had to rush off to work, seems pretty ‘lucky’ to us! Keith said that his hole-in-one was made even more special because it was achieved on one of his grand-daughter’s first birthdays! Congratulations Keith, from all at the Club.
